
Hundreds of Nigerians and US citizens gathered yesterday Saturday May 3rd at New York’s Union Square Park for a solidarity match meant to speak out for the over 200 girls kidnapped about 2 weeks ago by the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists in their hostels at Chibok in Borno state. The #BringBackOurGirls rally, in New York which was peaceful, saw some people come from as far as Boston to participate and lend a voice. Many of the protesters carried signs that read, “Bring Back Our Girls” and, “Together We Stand.” The rally was organized by a loose coalition of local groups that included ‘Applause Africa,” and “Chibok Girls.” See more photos:
