We May Impeach Ambode Soon, Lagos Assembly Opens Up – (Trouble Looms)

Latest update as the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Musibau Razak have denied claims that the Assembly is planning to impeach the Governor of the State.

MyNation NEWS gathered from reports that the impeachment was as a result of the fact that Ambode is seeking re-election.


According to him, “there was no iota of truth in the speculation trending on social media that the Speaker was acting on instructions to initiate impeachment proceedings against Governor Ambode.”

Razak emphasised that “the relationship between the Governor and Speaker is “smooth and solid”.”

“The news of impeachment is political. A lot of information is being circulated here and there but there is no iota of truth in the report.”

“Claims to initiate impeachment proceedings against Governor Ambode are false as the relationship between the Governor and Speaker is smooth and solid,” Razak told newsmen.
