Another Buhaha has emerged as the family of late Ebola hero, Stella Adadevoh have washed their hands off upcoming movie, ’93 Days’ which captures the virus outbreak in Nigeria.
In a statement signed by Dr Ama Adadevoh, the family accuse the filmmakers of wrongly portraying the events which led to the death of the medical doctor. The family also accused the producers of not getting consent before using ‘Adadevoh’s name, likeness or image for commercial profit.’
The family intends to hold the filmmakers legally accountable. Top Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola played the late Stella Adadevoh in the movie which is scheduled for release sometimes this year,
According to the relative, Kwami Adadevoh, the script was shared with the family only after it was completed.
"The inaccuracies in the movie do a great injustice and a disservice to the life works of Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh. Specific accounts in the script are incorrect and Mr. Afolabi Cardoso (husband) and Bankole Cardoso (son) are depicted in the movie without their consent.
Further, the use of private information, as it relates to the medical records of the deceased, is morally reprehensible," he wrote. Read after the jump
