The pregnant Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, who has daughter North with husband Kanye West, tweeted on Thursday at the news: "#WhatHappenedToSandraBland We need answers!!! This is NOT ok! This is all shady! They need to own up to this & tell the truth!” – before adding an hour later: "#MassiveCoverUp #WhatHappenedToSandraBland"
#MassiveCoverUp#WhatHappenedToSandraBland ”Bland was pulled over by police in Waller County, Texas, on July 10 and yesterday, The Texas Department of Public Safety released a dashcam video showing more footage of the hostile confrontation between Bland and Trooper Brian Encinia, who had pulled her over in the first instance.
Posting on her official Twitter and Instagram pages, the Super Bass hitmaker wrote: "If you haven't looked into this story, please do. It's the most disturbing thing going on right now. #SandraBland."
Sharing the dashcam video, she wrote: "Rest in Peace #SandraBland."
Nicki also added to the people speculating over whether Bland had been dead at the time of her mug shot.
Other celebrities in the US commenting on this tragic story, include Scandal star Kerry Washington and Empire’s Taraji P. Henson.
British beauty Cara Delevingne was also left shocked by the horrific incident.
"Things need to change NOW SANDRABLAND Justice Equality," Cara captioned a post which compared Bland's treatment to that of Dylann Roof, who was arrested after killing nine innocent black people at a church.
