APC Accuses Anambra Government For Sponsoring Protest Against Boko Haram Prisoners

Remember I told you last week that there was a protest in Anambra where the youths rioted against bringing the Boko Haram prison to their state...Read [HERE] Now the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Anambra State has accused the state government of allegedly sponsoring last weekend’s demonstration by traders over alleged transfer of Boko Haram prisoners to the state.

A statement by the state chairman of the party, Mr. Emeka Ibeh, described as baseless and unfounded the rumour that the Federal Government had ordered the transfer of Boko Haram prisoners to the state.

But the Senior Special Assistant on Media to Governor Willie Obiano, Mr. James Eze, in a swift reaction, described the allegation as untrue and urged the general public to disregard it.

The traders on the order of the state government, had to close their shops to protest alleged transfer of Boko Haram prisoners to the state for 24 hours thereby paralyzing business activities in the state.
