This is basically what is happening in Nigeria right now. Telecoms giant MTN, Beat 99.9fm and Naija 102.7fm yesterday announced that they were shutting down due to fuel/diesel scarcity..
There's also an alleged message from Uber.
Flights have been grounded, with Aero & Arik Air being the worse hit with over 80% of their flights cancelled. Air France and Kenya Airways flights diverted to Dakar, Senegal, and Cotonou, Benin, to refuel on their way to Paris and Nairobi because no fuel was available in Lagos and many other local and international flights have been cancelled.
Darkness everywhere, even hospital and mortuary services have NO fuel or power, imagine anyone that is on life support?! Not one petrol station in Lagos State is selling fuel. Even black market fuel is scarce and where you can can find it is being sold at such ridiculous prices, Some people bought 10 litres for N8000, that’s N800 per litre!!!
