My Abeokuta Memories; Park Inn By Radisson Abeokuta: A Traveller’s Delight

It was a fun and exciting moment this past weekend as Skyview Communications, the brand communication consultant to Park Inn by Radisson Abeokuta put together a Fam-Tour for Media Houses and We were privileged to be part of it!

For those who have never been to Abeokuta, Park Inn by Radisson is located close to Kuto market, just as you turn the roundabout to your left, and for those who are familiar with the city, the hotel was what was formerly known as Ogun State Hotel then later Gateway Hotel.

From The Warm Welcome, Settling down. the food, the warm reception, the City Tour, Sport activities, Making of Adire (tie and dye), Site Seeing the hotel, The Beautiful rooms, main bar, an open bar, a well equipped gym, and a swimming pool.

The Next day was The Park Inn by Radisson Abeokuta Schools’ Debates seminar with the theme: “Education and the Nigerian Child”.

In attendance were students from various secondary schools across Ogun State, members of the media, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Electronic Media, Mr. Eshomomo Imoudu and a host of other dignitaries.

After relaxing for a couple of hours, it was lights out and movie time at the auditorium, I had a swell time, watched the still ‘trending movie’ Black Panther to ‘kokoro egba’ and a chilled bottle of soda.

The day culminated into a fun night with an entertaining traditional folklore group and a DJ on the bandstand, we danced our hearts out, ‘Kegites’ style complete with free flowing palmwine, an open bar, some miming attempts and finally a sumptuous dinner by the poolside and lest I forget, we were all decked in our customised ‘Adire’ tees.

Thank you Park Inn by Radisson Abeokuta for the swell time, would surely come back again and a big thank you also to the wonderful management and staff of Skyview Communications, the brand communication consultant to Park Inn by Radisson Abeokuta for their thoroughness and conscientiousness.
