A Chinese National Rescued From Kidnappers In Ogun State, One suspect Arrested.


One among the 6 members suspected to be Kidnappers, has been arrested by operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS), Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The suspect had, on Monday, October 30, 2017, kidnap the victim, Lee Xian Qiang, a Chinese expatriate, at the Ogere axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway at about 5.30pm on monday.
Qiang was interrogated and said  to have left Kogi State and was heading to Abeokuta when the kidnappers came his way...


On tone of the information gotten, the State Commissioner, Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, Crimepuzzle, swiftly sent Out operatives of the FSARS, led by their Commander, DSP Uba Adam, to the scene with a clear instruction that the victim be rescued unhurt and the hoodlums captured.



The team, we further learnt, swung into action, combed the entire area and later located the kidnappers' hideout.
According to a press statement from the office of the state's Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, "On sighting the policemen, the hoodlums engaged them in a gun duel at the end of which one of the suspects was arrested while others escaped with gunshot injuries, and the victim was rescued unhurt".
"The arrested suspect has been a Helping hand  to the police as concerning its investigation on the evil act, while the victim, who was grateful to the police, has been re-united with his people".




Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police has appealed to members of the public, especially hospitals and other health workers, to report anybody with bullet injuries if seen in their areas.
