According to witnesses, the policeman was staggering and then fell besides a water-logged area.
Instead of getting up,he decided sleeping there even with the noise around him.
A man can be heard saying:
"He has taken too much drink and he has fallen into a gutter. And he is on duty. Look at what Buhari has caused for us; this doesn’t make sense,”

While others suggested he be lifted, others objected. At this point, there is no concrete confirmation he was drunk.
