Robert Mugabe's Wife Tells Him To Name A Successor

Zimbabwe's first woman has encouraged her 93-year-old spouse , Robert Mugabe to name a successor, following reports she needs to be the nation's next pioneer.

Grace Mugabe, 52, told individuals from the decision ZANU-PF party ladies' class that naming a successor 'will empower all individuals to rally behind one competitor'. 

The world's most seasoned head of state, who has driven Zimbabwe since 1980, has over and over declined to name a successor and says he will participate in one year from now's race.

His wife has previously said her husband could 'rule from the grave', adding: 'If God decides to take him then we would rather field him as a corpse'
