Residents of Kogi state were seen on Friday scooping petrol from an accident scene.
The incident recorded 25 deaths.
While some scampered for safety, others were seen with galoons trying to scoop fuel.
The accident happened along Fefele-Okene Abuja Road at about 1:30pm.
The tanker conveying fuel from the north was reported to have collided with an eighteen seater bus which burnt into aches.
Residents and sympathizers blamed the bad nature of the road for the accident.
