Bello vows to crush terrorists in Kogi

Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has vowed to deal with any Boko Haram member who might be hiding in the state.
Bello, who made the pledge in Kastina State at the weekend, disclosed that Kogi had put some strategic measures in place since February when insurgents attacked the state.
He said the measures were to ensure that they were flushed out from the state to guarantee the safety of lives and property.

According to him: “There are still a handful of insurgents in Kogi, but I have always maintained that the state is a wrong place for them to be.”

The governor was in Katsina to commiserate with the Emir, Abdulmumini Kabiru Usman, over the death of his mother.
Bello also visited the Emir of Daura, Farouk Umar Farouk, and President Muhammadu Buhari’s sister, Hajiya Rakiya Adamu.
Four people were killed last month in Kogi State when suspected Boko Haram members attacked a police station in the area.
After the incident, 56 Boko Haram members were arrested while the security agents uncovered a terrorists’ cell in the states.
