Woman Raped By Six Men Narrates Her Ordeal

I was speaking with a woman today,she is a yam seller and sells eggs too in wholesale. She was so pleasant and interesting. We spoke about market and profits in businesses. I asked how she started selling eggs or if she had a poultry. She responded that she has always sold yams till recently when she included eggs in her business due to some horrible experience she had. I pleaded to hear her story which went thus:“I used to work for a lady before I started my own business.She sold and supplied eggs from her husband’s poultry. One day I went to deliver eggs to some of our customers, on my way back,I could not get transport on time so I boarded a private vehicle along with some other people,a station wagon to be precise.I turned out to be the only
woman in the vehicle with six men.Along the way ,we got to a point where there was traffic and someone suggested we took a shortcut and the driver obliged.He gave him directions till we got to a desolate area and I was forced out of the vehicle into an an abandoned uncompleted building which had a table covered with broken bottles.”

“Meanwhile,to avoid being robbed, I already kept the money collected from customers in between the empty creates such that no one would notice and just assume they are empty crates. So,when they requested for my money and I showed them my nearly empty purse,they said no problem if I had no money on me,they would take something else. I was given two options.I either cooperate and use the floor or I would be placed on the table with broken bottles. I pleaded and pleaded and it all fell on deaf ears. That is how they all started to take turns on me,one after the other.after three of them, I could hardly breath and started struggling to get away but I was pinned down by four of them with my legs and arms apart. That is how I was raped by six hefty men in my prime. Once they were done with me,they asked if I would rather sit and sob or come with them to the main road. I obliged choicelessly.”

“On getting to my boss’s house,I managed to drag myself in and slumped at her feet. She asked what is wrong and I told her that I entered ‘one chance’ and was raped by six hefty men. Immediately,she jumped up and started screaming “Ah! My money! I have lost all my money!! This is trouble! I am in debt!!!”.

“I told her that her money was safe in between the paper crates which she checked and confirmed,then she was calm and had a sigh of relief. Other members of the household suggested I should be taken to the hospital immediately but she said it was no big deal that I could do a hot water douch which she did for me. I left her house the following day and never went back. I never sold eggs after that much less eat them. Till date, I hate her even more than my assailants.”

We really need to be as careful as possible and also very supportive. It is hard to believe that there are still insensitive people like that out there. Only God can protect us from evil but we need to make an effort too.
