Femi Feni-Kayode gets N50m Bail
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted the former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode bail in the sum of N50 million.
This disclosure was made in a tweet by the Director, New Media, Peoples Democratic Party, Deji Adeyanju (@adeyanjudeji), on Thursday, November 10, 2016.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Fani-Kayode before Justice James Tsoho on Thursday on a five-count charge of money laundering to the tune of N26m.
In his Judgment, Justice Tsoho granted the bail request of Fani-Kayode’s lawyer, Afedayo Adedipe (SAN), on the ground that the offence was bailable.
The judge fixed December 14, for the commencement of trial.
