Rio Olympics 2016: Usain Bolt Wins Seventh Olympic Gold, Justin Gatlin Second

Eight years after exploding to superstardom in Beijing, Usain Bolt took his rivals apart to win the Olympic title - and then celebrated with Jessica Ennis-Hill.

The Jamaican superstar stormed to his third straight 100m crown and a seventh overall to keep his dream of an unprecedented triple triple alive.

Bolt powered through in a season's best 9.81 seconds with rival Justin Gatlin taking silver in 9.89secs and Canada's Andre de Grasse bronze in 9.91s.

And as he took in the adulation of the capacity crowd Bolt even had time to take a selfie with Ennis-Hill who had just received her silver medal alongside heptathlon rivals Nafissatou Thiam and Brianne Theisen Eaton inside the Olympic stadium.
