Wow!!! Photo Of Woman Standing Serenely During The US Black Lives Matter Protests Labelled LEGENDARY

A POWERFUL picture of a silent woman standing serenely during the the US Black Lives Matter protests has been labelled “legendary”. The striking picture was taken by Jonathan Bachman, a New Orleans-based photographer, during the protests over the police killings of two black men.

The picture shows Ieshia Evans, 28, in a dress standing calmly in front of two armed police officers.

Moments later, she was arrested and taken away after allegedly refusing to leave an area highway during the protest in Baton Rouge, Louisina.

The protests took place days after 37-year-old Alton Sterling was shot dead in Baton Rouge, while being held down by two white police officers on Tuesday morning. The shooting of Philander Castile, 32, by a police officer at a traffic light was also a catalyst for the protests.

Days later gunman Micah Johnson, 25, killed five police officers in Dallas during a protest being held over the deaths of the men at the hands of police.
