Check out Excerpts below:
Can we meet you :

I am Motilola Adekunle, I am from Ondo town in Ondo State Nigeria, I was born into the Prestigious Akinlami Family of Ondo town, to Chief Bamakole Akinlami, my family is a very large one but from my mum we are just 3 girls. I attended St Louis Girls Grammar School Akure for my secondary education and later on went to Obafemi Awolowo University in 2001 to study Philosophy. After school I worked at the Ondo State Radio vision Corporation presenting a Private Program called Infotech, then left for Positive 102.5 fm worked there for a while before I relocated to Lagos to work with Galaxy Television before I resigned to be a movie maker.

When did your journey into movie making start:

Well that's a long journey, in the year 2000 a certain Corp member came to serve at the cultural centre Akure, Rogers Ofime and he attended my church, he studied Dramatic Arts and directed my first professional production ABAWON and for theatre and I it was love at first sight. Through out my days in ife, I spent most of my time at the Dramatic Arts department participating in most plays, I wasn't paid for my first production but since then I have never never done a free stage production, even in school we get paid for our effort and performance. So it's safe to say I've been acting professionally since 2001.

My first movie production was Basorun Gaa produced by Adebayo Faleti, I acted in it and also handled the props under the supervision of Gbemi Faleti. Since then there has been no going back although I had to split my time between school and acting it was quite the battle but am glad it's all working now, I wouldn't trade my theatre experience for anything nor will I trade my degree for anything. i'm just glad I got them both.

Are you married :

Yes I am, with a kid but I like to keep my family out of the lime light

Tell us about Ariwo Oja :

Ariwo Oja is my first production, and it's something I am very passionate about let's see there are physically challenged people in this society, I have a burning passion for people living with disabilities, they have accepted it and to them they see it as nothing but the society constantly reminds them that there is something wrong with them. How many handicap friendly facilities do you see around? How does a blind person use the ATM? or is he not entitled to? How does he cross the road on his own, how many garages give challenged people a preference. How easy will your day NE if everything around you reminds you how inadequate you are? Someone had to say something, I am passionate about this because I have seen it first hand especially with the women

Elaborate please:

My sister is physically challenged eerrm polio right leg and she is very independent and has a good job,a job she is good and very friendly but when it comes to marriage even the so called friends will not let her marry into their own family, all of a sudden the only thing that matters about this great person, is that disability, the blindness, the lame thing. They would rather have you marry a woman with bad character than marry a physically challenged woman..it's sad really sad. This movie was made to show that there a disability isn't all there is to a person.

When do we get to see this movie :

Ariwo Oja is set to hit the stands on Monday the 21st of July 2015, Marketed by Almaroof Standard Investment, Arena shopping complex bolade Oshodi
How Challenging was it to make this movie : it was very challenging, but I had a massive support base,I had my director Mr Kunle Afod took care of all production related issues, I had my sister ,Mr Kayode Akinmade, My mother and if course my husband,I had everyone's support so it was a Smooth ride, and for that we are grateful to God.

What other challenge have you faced in the Industry :

well, I even faced a huge one recently in the set of my second movie, still in the works though, but I like to see them as stepping stones you know nothing good comes easy but everything works together for Good for them that love God and are called according to his purpose. I am glad I faced the issues

So what next from you :

I'm working in my 2nd movie now,and I intend to keep sending out real messages not just out of the need to be in the lime light, if anyone is doing anything at all to help the cause of the physically challenged I am willing to lend suppport, contact me on Instagram @motilola and on twitter.

Who else did you work with on Ariwo Oja:

I have quite the crowd there, the movie was shot in Akure the Ondo State Capital,I worked with,Akin lewis, kunle afod,Joke Muyiwa, Yetunde wunmi,Muyiwa Adegoke, and a host of others
We wish you all the best : thank you but always remember the only true disability is narrow mindedness all others are mere challenges! Buy original copies alone please, Piracy is the arch enemy of creativity
