Not less than 150 people have died
in Accra,following an explosion at a petrol station where
many sought shelter, due to prevailing torrential rain.
According to fire brigade
spokesman, Prince Billy Anaglate, about a dozen people were taken to the
hospital after the blast.
Al Jazeera correspondent, Boateng also said that, “This is a very busy
area of Accra.
Lots of people, lots of car traffic, and because of the heavy rains
people
gathered at this gas station to seek shelter and this explosion
happened,” he said, stating reasons why many where trapped in the fire.
