Jennifer Lopez’s legal name has been Jennifer Muniz for the past ten years. And now she has just changed it back. The 45-year-old singer took former husband Marc Anthony’s last name – his real name is Marco Muniz – when they married in 2004. The On The Floor hitmaker never changed her name back until December 31, 2014, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. Jennifer and Marc, 46, tied the knot in June 2004 after she split with Ben Affleck in January of that year.
After seven years of marriage, Jennifer and Marc split in July 2011, with the American Idol judge going on to date back-up dancer Casper Smart, 27, a few months later.
However, Jennifer and Casper split around June 2014, when her divorce from Marc was finalized.
In November 2014, Marc remarried Venezuelan model Shannon De Lima, 26.
The mother-of-two shared the pain she went through amid her split from Marc in a new HBO documentary, Jennifer Lopez: Dance Again.
The emotional star said: 'I remember being on the set and being in my dressing room and not feeling like I could get up in the morning and there's just no pain like that.
'There's no pain or failure like going through a divorce. That hope, that dream, that fairytale, with that first time that dream gets blown to pieces, you feel like you're going to die.
'You feel like you failed. You feel like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make it work.'
Jennifer admitted her and Marc's divorce was particularly agonising because she knew their children, six-year-old twins Max and Emme, would be devastated.
She said: 'That wasn't my dream. My dream was for us to always be together. You never want to break up family.'
