Current Miss South Africa has emerged Miss World tonight in London. Rolene Strauss, The 22-year-old, who is studying medicine at the University of the Free State, proved that she is both beauty and brains as she beats other contestants (121 of them) in London this evening to be crowned the new Miss World. Miss Edina Kulcsár from Hungary was the first runner up, while Miss Elizabeth Safrit from United States was second runner up. Nigeria’s Agbani Darego who won the crown 13 years ago was also there with past beauty queens to grace the occasion. Competition was founded in 1950 with just 26 entrants
