Despite Wizkid expressing in an interview last year that he would like to collaborate with Daddy Showkey on a song, the music veteran may not be a fan?According to reports Daddy Showkey, is beefing younger artistes like Wizzy & Davido for what is being described as being “arrogant, conceited, insolent, garish display of wealth and not caring about others. He also went on to allegedly say that Wizkid and Davido’s lavish display of their wealthy lifestyle, does not tell of good up-bringing, vowing never to collaborate with the young’uns whom he sees as being too full of themselves.
The Galala dance creator said during his time, they were careful about displaying their wealth to oppress others. Really?? If I remember correctly Mr Showkey during your time entertainers were not making as much as the current crop of artistes. They did not have the huge endorsement deals and million Naira paying concert appearances. So one could argue that there was not a lot to be displayed. With that said I do think that the constant lavish display of wealth by a lot of our Nigerian and even foreign entertainers is tacky but to each their own…
